Organised jointly with the Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI) and the Malaysian Industrial Development Authority (MIDA), these missions are led by the Minister or Deputy Minister of International Trade and Industry. Several missions are organized annually targeting both existing and new markets. The leadership of the Minister and Deputy Minister facilitates access to high-level officials and businessmen of the countries visited. It also raises the profile of the missions and the participants.
MATRADE organises and manages Malaysia's participation in international trade fairs overseas. Trade fairs serve as a good starting point for companies wanting to promote their products and services to potential foreign buyers. MATRADE provides assistance in handling space reservations, stand design and its construction, pre-event publicity and the scheduling of business meetings with foreign buyers.
The promotion booths will be used to disseminate information on Malaysian products and services as well as to display product and services catalogues of Malaysian companies. Promotion booths serve as an alternative and cost-effective way for Malaysian exporters to promote their products and services.
