“The gradual but steady turnaround in the global oil and gas prices has re-activated global investment in exploration and production activities and this augurs well for the Malaysian companies’ participation in OTC Houston 2019. However, to stand out, Malaysian companies need to continuously offer innovative products and world-class services. MATRADE is honoured
to play its part in promoting the commercialisation of these technologies at a global platform,” said S. Jai.

He added that the Malaysian technologies to be showcased at the event would also reflect Malaysia’s ability to compete in high value areas. Furthermore, MATRADE and MOGSC’s collaboration through this event is a testament to the close relationship between the government and industry association in promoting Malaysia’s oil & gas competitiveness globally.

“Being the voice of the Malaysian oil and gas industry, MOGSC has a primary objective to promote the capabilities of our companies to the world. Participation in OTC is an important agenda as we are committed to expand and strengthen the industry,” said Ts. Sharifah Zaida Nurlisha Syed Ibrahim, President of MOGSC.

“OTC is a platform for Malaysian companies to not only showcase their technologies but to familiarise and be aware of the latest technologies and innovations from around the world too, which can be applied in Malaysia. MOGSC is excited to co-organise the Malaysian pavilion with MATRADE and look forward to a fruitful and lucrative mission for our delegation,” she added.

Apart from participating in the exhibition, MATRADE and MOGSC will also be arranging business meetings and technical presentations for Malaysian exhibitors with pre-identified potential buyers, including that from North America, Mexico, Brazil and Argentina. Malaysia has traditional footprint in the oil & gas industry in Latin America.
