FRIDAY, 21 AUGUST 2020, KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE), today announced that they will be organising Malaysia’s first Digital Kuala Lumpur International Aerospace Business Convention (Digital KLIABC 2020) with collaboration with Malaysia Aerospace Industry Association (MAIA) and ABE France from 17 – 20 November 2020.

The COVID-19 pandemic has affected Malaysian companies to change their way of doing business particularly when dealing with international buyers. Looking at current scenario where most countries imposed travel restriction to contain the spread of COVID-19, MATRADE has changed the format of KLIABC 2020 to a digital form. Digital KLIABC 2020 is an aerospace virtual trade shows which will also include concurrent event namely webinars, virtual exhibition and B2B meetings.

According to MATRADE’s Chief Executive Officer, Dato’ Wan Latiff Wan Musa, “the 2020 edition of KLIABC will be a 100% digital event. The 4-day event will allow participants to instantly stream live sessions or access expert-led content on demand. Conference presentations and interactive panel discussions as well as seamless Questions & Answer sessions and quick polls will stream alongside the live sessions”.

“There will also be virtual booths and B2B meetings, a matched networking session to facilitate business interaction between participants, prospects and clients. Aerospace industry players are now freely accessible from a computer or mobile device, giving participants everything they will need to interact effectively with potential prospects, customers and partners around the world”, added Wan Latiff.

KLIABC is a premier Malaysian event for the region, which serves as a platform for Malaysia’s aerospace companies to network with OEMs as well as Tier 1 & Tier 2 suppliers. Digital KLIABC 2020 will be a nexus for decision makers and world aerospace players who are sourcing for regional expertise in aerospace parts & components manufacturing, Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul (MRO), engineering & design services, system integration as well as education & training. It is also an important branding platform for Malaysian capability and expertise.
