MATRADE organises seminars and workshops to guide new exporters.
MATRADE organises seminars and workshops to guide new exporters and update existing exporters on trade developments and business opportunities in international markets. Topics include export opportunities in specific markets and trade regimes, export procedures, developing brand names, product packaging, international marketing, e-commerce and trade documentation.
SME’s Export Initiatives
Other than developing overseas markets for Malaysian products and services, MATRADE also implements training programmes to enhance awareness among the local business community about export opportunities as well as to develop their export marketing skills.
Apart from training programmes, business consultations provide advisory services, publishing directories and handbooks as well as dissemination of information through the website and online news.
Enhancing Exporters’ Knowledge
To enhance the exporters’ knowledge on market accessibility, global trade requirements and trade practices, MATRADE organizes export training programmes for Malaysian exporters and would-be exporters. The topics covered include branding, country briefings, import regulations, international product and environmental standards, trade financing, market updates and market requirements.
While MATRADE organised some programmes on its own, it also collaborated with other parties such as Government agencies, private sectors, financial institutions and foreign embassies to organize seminars and workshops.
