A Certificate of Free Sale is issued by MATRADE to facilitate Malaysian exporters in exporting local household products to countries which require such certificate. It assures the importing countries that the product issued has been sold freely in this country. The CFS issued by MATRADE is only for finished household products manufactured locally. It applied to household products that are not covered under the Ministry of Health (MOH) or any other government agencies in Malaysia. Further clarification about the CFS issued by MOH, please contact the respective agencies under the Ministry directly.

Application Procedure

1. Submission of Application

The applicant should submit :  

• A letter of application providing information on the product and the importing country.
• A copy of " Sijil Pendaftaran di Bawah AktaSyarikat 1965" /ROC
• A copy Manufacturing license or Business license from local government/local authority or Certificate of "License Manufacturing Warehouse (LMW)" or Certificate of "Free Industrial Zone"
• Three (3) local invoices for each product.
• Brochures or pamphlet of each product.

2. Collection of CFS

The CFS will be ready for collection after one working day upon complete information and submission of the letter of application.
