MATRADE Hong Kong SAR opened its Malaysia Trade Centre Hong Kong SAR (MTCHK) at the Ground Floor of the Malaysia Building on 1 May 2006. It is located at the prime area of Wan Chai and it is one of the busiest commercial areas in Hong Kong with many small- and medium-sized companies gathering, various shopping centres and restaurants serving cuisines of different countries. MTCHK serves as the focal point for Hong Kong buyers and international business community based in Hong Kong in sourcing for information on Malaysian companies, products and services.

MTCHK showcases a wide range of ‘Made in Malaysia’ products and services that testifies to Malaysia’s capabilities in producing world class exports. By providing an avenue for the Malaysian companies to showcase their products, it is hoped that it will garner interests for the local or international buyers when they visit the MTCHK.

MTCHK will also capitalize on the existence of the International Procurement Centres and International Buying Houses that could provide a way for the Malaysian products and services to be exported in other countries. To date, a total of 51 Malaysian companies’ high-end and uniquely-Malaysian products are currently being displayed at the MTCHK.
