MATRADE PROMOTION BOOTH AT 6TH IMPORT GOODS FAIR, IGF 2008
CONVENTION & EXHIBITION CENTRE (COEX)

Korea Importers Association(KOIMA) will organize the 6th Import Goods Fair 2008 sponsored by Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Energy(MOICE), Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade(MOFAT).

KOIMA is only private organization with over 38 years of experience in the promotion of imports into Korea. Under the mega trends of globalization, the trade volume among Korea and the world economy is currently increasing day by day. This trend has been Korea emerge as an important economy on the world scene, especially the import market. KOIMA plays an important role in facilitating this increasing trade.

Import Goods Fair 2008 is intended to help the foreign manufacturers and suppliers by providing an opportunity to introduce and advertise their famous brands and quality products to Korean importers and consumers. What is more, by participating in import Goods Fair 2008, you can have a chance to see how many qualities from countries around the world compare with yours.

With the experience of the last exhibition, IGF 2007 has attracted a number of 173 companies from 16 countries including Korea. Breakdown of exhibitors were 49(99 booths) from local companies and 124(132 booth) were from other countries. The fair was held in the Atlantic hall located at eh 3rd floor of Convention and Exhibition Center (COEX). The fair occupied a total space area of 5,184 sq. meters, a half of the hall full size of 10,368 meters.

IGF 2007 participation could see an increase of 21.83 % in term of number of exhibitors as compared with previous year. Among the international exhibitors 60 from China, 12 from India, 10 each from Egypt and Bangladesh, 8 each from Vietnam and Brunei , 3 each from Mongolia and Dominica and one each from Ghana, Malaysia, Tunisia, Poland, France and etc.

This year, MATRADE will participate in the IGF 2008 by taking up an information booth in order to promote Malaysian products at the exhibition. General information on the IGF 2008 are as follows:
