100 // MATRADE Annual Report 2019 Nexus Productivity, under the supervision of Malaysia Productivity Corporation, was introduced under the Malaysia Productivity Blueprint (MPB) on 8 May 2017. The initiative in the form of a one-stop platform provides assistance to companies in promoting productivity, increasing innovation, generating substantive and sustainable growth in driving the action plan towards empowering the agenda of increasing national productivity. This initiative involves the collaboration between industry players, government agencies, trade associations and chambers of commerce where the focus is on nine Productivity Nexuses covering five services sectors, three manufacturing sectors and one agricultural sector, as follows: The manufacturing sector comprises: • E&E product subsector; • Machinery and equipment subsector; and • Chemical & Chemical products subsector. NEXUS ACTION FRAMEWORK FOR MALAYSIAN PRODUCTIVITY The service sector comprises: • Retail and F&B subsector; • Professional services subsector; • ICT subsector; • Private healthcare sub-sector; and • Tourism subsector. Agricultural sector comprises: • Agro-food subsector. MATRADE is directly involved in the implementation of five Productivity Nexuses, for the following subsectors: • E&E product; • M&E machinery and equipment; • ICT; • Chemicals and Chemical products; and • Professional services.
