Sustaining Export Development MATRADE Core Purpose // 107 In 2019, MATRADE partnered with industry players and related agencies to implement several eTRADE promotion activities. Activities implemented were: Workshop with Aramex at VLADS Plaza on 16 July 2019 ACTIVITIES eTRADE - Meet the Customer Day (January to October 2019) eTRADE Day - eTRADE Exporters Awards (9 to 10 December 2019) • eCommerce platform under eTRADE Programme • Various eCommerce agencies/ service providers • KKMM • MITI • MDEC Promoting eCommerce platform under the eTRADE programme to the business communities every Friday • Encourage Malaysian business owners to explore cross- border opportunities through eCommerce. • Share the latest in eCommerce information. • Recognition of key exporters under the eTRADE programme. • Over 700 companies participated in 31 eTRADE - Meet the Customer Day sessions from January to October 2019. • Briefing sessions by relevant agencies and eCommerce service providers to impart information and knowledge to participants. • Recording of some of these sessions for podcasts. • Session organised by MITI and KKMM aimed to encourage Malaysian business owners explore cross-border opportunities through eCommerce. • Participants gained from shared views from successful industry players and companies as well as access information on the eCommerce ecosystem in Malaysia. • MATRADE awarded the eTRADE Exporters Awards to five companies that earned the highest export sales in respective categories under the eTRADE programme OBJECTIVE STAKEHOLDERS RESULTS & CONTRIBUTION API visit to MEGIX BUILDING EXPORT READINESS
