118 // MATRADE Annual Report 2019 MATRADE Manila , in collaboration with the Malaysia- Philippines Chambers of Commerce, organised a promotion programme from 22 to 25 January 2019. A total of 22 business meetings were arranged for five exporting companies sponsored by TERAJU to promote the E&E, automotive, furniture, medical devices, electricity support and oil & gas sectors. In conjunction with the working visit of the Prime Minister of Malaysia to Manila, MATRADE Manila organised the Malaysia- Philippines Business Forum on 7 March 2019 in collaboration with the Makati Business Club. This forum was as an effective platform to interact with prominent industry players and business communities in the Philippines. On 22 May 2019, MATRADE Manila collaborated with MDEC to organise Global Acceleration & Innovation Network (GAIN) Connex Philippines to promote the ICT sector where two market immersion programmes for start-ups were also held. MATRADE Melbourne engaged with Malaysian real estate developers in Australia namely, Setia Melbourne, UEM, Ecoworld International and OSK Property to promote building materials, furniture and household products to Australian developers. Keynote address by the Prime Minister of Malaysia, Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad during the Malaysia-Philippines Business Forum MATRADE Melbourne coordinated the working visit of the Minister of MITI to Adelaide and the Joint Trade Committee (JTC) programme in Canberra in August 2019. Apart from this, the office also assisted MITI and Industrial Terminal dan Entrepreneur Development (MINTRED) together with Malaysian companies from the maritime sector during their visit to Pacific Fair 2019 in Sydney to explore business opportunities.
