122 // MATRADE Annual Report 2019 MATRADE Dubai assisted Yakult Malaysia launch its first Yakult Probiotic product from Malaysia in UAE where the product is available in more than 500 stores in Dubai and expected to expand throughout UAE. MATRADE Dubai also assisted Novapave’s participation in Big 5 in Dubai where an MoU between Novapave Sdn Bhd and Royal Group LLC was signed enabling the company’s technology and products to be used in road management projects in the UAE. In addition, MATRADE Dubai arranged a working visit for a delegation from Port Klang Free Zone (PKFZ) to meet UAE Free Zone authorities to expand PKFZ services and explore collaboration opportunities. Trade fair in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia Trade fair in Dubai, UAE MATRADE Jeddah focused on business and investment opportunities under the Saudi Vision 2030 initiative for Malaysian companies to seek business opportunities in Saudi Arabia, especially for water filtration projects, power generation, structure fabrication and oil & gas sectors. A total of 11 new Malaysian company products such as biscuits, sauces, soft drinks and frozen foods were given assistance through the implementation of in-store promotion programmes in a prominent Saudi Arabian supermarket chain. MATRADE Jeddah organised several seminars and joint promotions with Jeddah Chamber of Commerce & Industry and Makkah Chamber of Commerce to explore business opportunities between Malaysia and Saudi Arabia. The objective is to promote Malaysia as a strategic trading partner to importers, distributors and local companies. MATRADE Jeddah also assisted Malaysian Palm Oil Council (MPOC) invite companies and business communities from Jeddah and around Saudi Arabia to attend the Malaysian Palm Oil Trade Fair & Seminar (POTS) 2019.
