74 // MATRADE Annual Report 2019 17TH ASIAN OIL, GAS & PETROCHEMICAL EXHIBITION 2019 MATRADE organised an INSP programme in conjunction with Asian Oil, Gas & Petrochemical Exhibition (OGA) 2019 for the second time. Held from 18 to 19 June, the event is significant for the oil and gas sector in Asia. OGA facilitates the promotion of the latest in technology, equipment and machinery for the oil and gas and petrochemical engineering industries. A total of 110 business meetings were held between 67 Malaysian and 9 importers from 6 countries. Importers from Nigeria, US and Myanmar recorded the highest in sales. Products in high demand were Christmas trees, wellhead, valves and actuators as well as various upstream and downstream oil & gas services. ARCHIDEX 2019 MATRADE faciltated an INSP programme through collaboration with C.I.S Network Sdn Bhd in conjunction with ARCHIDEX 2019 exhibition. A total of 60 business meetings were held between 28 Malaysian companies and 10 importers from 6 countries. Importers from South Korea, Indonesia and India recorded the highest sales where products highly sought were plywood, doors and windows, lamps, paints and sanitaryware. INTERNATIONAL CONSTRUCTION WEEK 2019 MATRADE has collaborated with CIDB to organise INSP programmes at International Construction Week (ICW) since 2017. This year’s event was held from 18 to 21 March at MITEC and was the largest exhibition for the construction sector in Southeast Asia. ICW 2019 was MATRADE’s fifth participation since 2014. A total of 138 business meetings were carried out between 45 Malaysian companies and 17 importers from 10 countries. Importers from Myanmar, Thailand and Nigeria recorded the highest in sales. Among the products and services that gained interest were tiles, paint, lamps, safety equipment, water heaters, waterproofing products and industrial building system (IBS).
