96 // MATRADE Annual Report 2019 companies benefited from the Services Export Fund (SEF) companies were given assistance under export development programme 81 100 The Services Sector Blueprint (SSB) is an action framework for the services sector launched by the Prime Minister on 24 March 2015. It is a five-year development strategy for the services sector in Malaysia based on 4 policy levers: • Internationalisation of Malaysian service providers; • Ensuring effectiveness of Investment incentives; • Effective Human capital development; and • Efficient sector governance reform. In achieving the goals outlined, SSB has identified constraints that require immediate action, particularly to achieve the set target of 56.5% contribution to the GDP by 2020. The SSB committee has also identified 29 plans to be implemented, including MATRADE’s involvement in helping Malaysian services providers explore the international market. In 2019, a total of 81 companies benefited from the Services Export Fund (SEF), while an additional 100 companies were given assistance under MATRADE’s export development programme. The targets set by the SSB Committee were surpassed. ACTION FRAMEWORK FOR SERVICES SECTOR
