101 Management, Integrity, Internal Audit and Strategic Planning MATRADE Annual Report 2022 PUTRA BRAND AWARDS EXPORT EXCELLENCE AWARDS (EEA) THE STAR OUTSTANDING BUSINESS AWARD (SOBA) In its commitment to continually enhance service delivery efficiency, MATRADE focuses on improving communication systems to effectively streamline processes and strengthen relationships with customers and stakeholders. MATRADE has planned and implemented various measures and programmes to meet the increasing demands and expectations of its customers. In line with one of the initiatives of the NTBp to enhance the Malaysian export brand, MATRADE collaborated with the Association of Accredited Advertising Agents Malaysia (4As), Malaysian Advertisers Association (MAA), Media Specialists Association (MSA), and Malaysian Digital Association (MDA) tin organising the Putra Brand Awards and Putra Aria Brand Awards, which aim to recognise outstanding local exporter brands. The strong 12-year collaboration between 4As and MATRADE is driven by a shared vision and commitment in advocating for the growth of local brands. MATRADE supports the Export Excellence Awards (EEA) organised by the Star Media Group, in strategic collaboration with Standard Chartered Bank, which seeks to acknowledge entrepreneurs in the export industry. By supporting these awards, MATRADE can assist local exporters in realising national agendas by promoting their products and services globally. For EEA 2022, two new award categories were introduced, which were Rising Star and Woman Exporter of the Year, to recognise new exporters and female entrepreneurs, and to strengthen diversity, equity, and inclusivity. Since 2016, MATRADE and The Star Media Group have collaborated for the SOBA program, further strengthening MATRADE’s brand. The programme acknowledges businesses in Malaysia that have made significant contributions to the country’s economic growth. This collaboration enables MATRADE to establish closer relationships with media outlets and SMEs from various industries. The partnership serves as an excellent platform for interacting with a broader range of SMEs and exposing them to MATRADE’s functions and roles in promoting the country’s exports.
