102 TOWARDS THE FUTURE OF SUSTAINABLE EXPORTS MATRADE continued its efforts in digitalization in 2022, ensuring that the provided ICT services meet the requirements of both internal and external stakeholders. In line with MATRADE’s direction, the MATRADE Digitalisation Strategic Plan (DSP) was launched on November 16, 2022, outlining the digitalisation initiatives from 2022 to 2026. The development of the DSP took into account the needs of each department at MATRADE, and current technological developments and trends. In 2022, the MATRADE ICT Steering Committee (JPICT) approved a total of eight digitalisation initiatives to ensure the continuous implementation of digitalisation efforts. These initiatives included acquiring personal computers and laptops, procuring hardware and security software, and the development of an application system. MATRADE’S DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION The website www.matrade.gov.my continues to be the goto channel for both Malaysian and international business communities to acquire information on trade and Malaysian products and services, garnering over 340,000 visitors and 3.7 million page views in 2022. The new MATRADE portal was launched on 16 June 2022, featuring a refreshed look and design. The new portal utilises content delivery network (CDN) technology and features new content, including 30 success story videos and a directory of Malaysian products and services. The most visited pages on the portal were the Malaysia Products/Services Directory, Malaysian Brands, Tariff Code References, Market Development Grants, and Trade Events. Countries registering the most visitors were the United States, Singapore, India, China, Indonesia, Japan, the Philippines, Hong Kong, and Thailand. Its purpose is to streamline access to internal MATRADE applications and foster information sharing among agency members. The KM Portal introduces several key modules such as MyDocument, MyForum, MyWiki, MyExpertise, and MyGateway.
