41 Objective 4 Objective 4 is to Strengthen The Country’s Export Plan, with MATRADE playing a role in enhancing national exports through the National Trade Blueprint (NTBp). This blueprint is designed to strengthen the competitiveness of Malaysian exports in the global market. It involves monitoring and coordinating all initiatives to solidify the country’s export ecosystem, encompassing various ministries, agencies, as well as the private sector. MATRADE is also responsible for coordinating all export promotion programmes organised by the Ministry and Agencies through its role as the Export Coordination Committee (JK-X) secretariat. All these efforts are geared towards achieving more effective synergy among Ministries, Agencies, and the private sector to enhance the country’s exports. Objective 5 Objective 5 focuses on Building Export Readiness, where MATRADE implements various programmes to assist local companies in preparing themselves to explore export opportunities. These initiatives include business training, skills enhancement, networking, international exposure, and leadership and entrepreneurship training. The programmes specifically target the development of export capabilities for certain groups, such as Bumiputera companies, women and youth-led enterprises, mid-sized companies, and Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) at the state level, improving their resilience and sustainability at a global level. Additionally, MATRADE’s regional offices provide advisory services to Malaysian companies. Objective 6 Objective 6 is to Expand The Exporter Community, where MATRADE provides trade advisory services and specialised support to Malaysian companies in exploring foreign markets. MATRADE also conducts outreach programmes, such as participation in Information Counters at conferences and ITFs, and seminars and webinars to share trade information. MATRADE also provides feedback on trade inquiries received from the business community, including importers. Objective 7 Objective 7 involves Providing Specialised Support to Malaysian companies, where MATRADE offers grants and incentives to prepare companies to penetrate export markets. The grants or funds provided are aimed at enhancing export promotion activities and the competitiveness of companies in international markets. MATRADE’s overseas offices assist Malaysian exporters by providing trade and industry-related consultations and matching companies with importers of products and services. Objective 8 Objective 8 aims to Strengthen The Malaysian Brand, where MATRADE undertakes efforts to promote and establish exporters of products and services in the global market. Promotional activities are held at exhibition spaces such as the Malaysia Export Exhibition Centre (MEEC) and through participation in events like MIHAS and the China-ASEAN Expo (CAEXPO).
