45 MATRADE Core Objectives MATRADE Annual Report 2022 MIACES 2022 is a platform to promote and strengthen Malaysia’s position as an international hub for agricultural commodities by showcasing Malaysian innovations and technologies on the international stage. An ISP was jointly organised with the Ministry of Plantation, Industries and Commodities (MPIC) and event organiser My Events International Sdn. Bhd. in conjunction with MIACES 2022. Ten buyers from Indonesia, Thailand, and Vietnam participated in 30 business matching sessions with Malaysian exporting companies in palm oil, rubber-based, and wood products. International Sourcing Programme, in conjunction with Malaysia International Agricommodity Expo & Summit (MIACES 2022) Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia Almaty, Kazakhstan 26 – 28 Jul 2022 7-9 Sept 2022 CENTRAL ASIA, NORTH AND SOUTH ASIA AND AFRICA Since 1994, Kazbuild has been among the largest exhibitions in Kazakhstan for the construction sector. Kazbuild 2022 saw the participation of more than 350 exhibitors and 5,600 visitors, mainly from Russia and Central Asian countries. MATRADE coordinated the participation of six (6) Malaysian companies in Kazbuild 2022 to enhance export to these countries. A total of 35 business matching sessions with leading developers in Kazakhstan were arranged during the exhibition, generating export sales of RM124.26 million. Kazbuild International Business Exhibition 2022 The Malaysia Kazakhstan Entrepreneurs Network (MKEN) is a platform to strengthen business relations and explore opportunities between the two nations. MKEN 2022 was jointly organised with CSQ Network Sdn Bhd and Mond Academy and held at Menara MATRADE during which a total of 69 business matching sessions involving 51 Malaysian companies and 23 Kazakhstan companies were arranged. The highlighted products and services spanned various sectors, including food and beverages, information technology, furniture, consulting services, construction, and education. International Sourcing Programme, in conjunction with the Malaysia Kazakhstan Entrepreneur Network (MKEN) 2022 Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia 3 Oct 2022 MATRADE’s CWSAA section conducted the virtual eBizMatch 2022 programme from 1 August to 31 December 2022.
