49 MATRADE Core Objectives MATRADE Annual Report 2022 ELECTRICAL & ELECTRONICS, ICT, MACHINERY & EQUIPMENT EXPORT PROMOTION PROGRAMME BY SECTOR SEMICON SEA is a major international trade exhibition for the global electronics manufacturing supply chain, bringing together regional companies and players in the E&E industry. Malaysian companies have been proven to be highly capable of meeting the demands of the global market and have experience in collaborating with Malaysia-based multinational companies. MATRADE organised the virtual INSP in conjunction with SEMICON SEA 2022 to connect Malaysian companies with potential business partners from around the region who are keen on sourcing E&E components. The INSP also positioned Malaysia as a regional sourcing hub. Virtual business matching sessions were conducted involving four Malaysian companies and companies from three countries: Myanmar, India, and China. Products and services in high demand were solar equipment, electronic products for industrial and consumer use, air conditioning products and systems, and accessories and lighting equipment.
