67 MATRADE Core Objectives MATRADE Annual Report 2022 MATRADE has established collaborations with international and local organisations through Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) to strengthen cooperation in promoting trade and expanding market access. As of 2022, 19 MoUs signed by MATRADE remain in effect. Sixteen are MoUs with international organisations, and two are MoUs with Malaysian entities. The primary objective of the Memorandum of Understandings (MOUs) is to facilitate joint efforts in Malaysia’s export programmes, including the Exports Acceleration Mission (EAM), business seminars, and participation in trade exhibitions, business-matching meetings, sharing programmes, and speaking engagements in seminars/webinars. Additionally, MATRADE has taken a strategic initiative to partner in the sphere of sustainability through MOUs. The signed MOUs will be reviewed every year to ensure the ongoing implementation and effectiveness of the programmes. This will enhance the collaborative efforts between the parties for mutual benefit.
