70 TOWARDS THE FUTURE OF SUSTAINABLE EXPORTS MATRADE recognises the importance of publication materials in facilitating the dissemination of trade information to stakeholders. To fulfil this purpose, MATRADE publishes MATRADE’s Insight (MI), which serves as a platform to share market research information with the Malaysian export and industrial community. MI is a compilation of trade articles that are enriched by MATRADE headquarters, drawing from the valuable information found in MA and PMS. Through MI, exporters can access information on export opportunities, market developments, and crucial insights regarding regulations, legislation, and import regime changes, including non-tariff barriers. In the year 2022, MATRADE produced a total of 190 MI articles covering various industry sub-sectors. These articles were disseminated to trade associations and relevant agencies to reach their respective stakeholders and customers through their respective publishing materials and email communications. As a result of this outreach, MATRADE received a substantial number of trade inquiries, emphasising the effectiveness and relevance of MI. These inquiries were directed to MATRADE’s overseas offices for further action and assistance. Building on the success of the Exclusive from Malaysia (EFM) magazine’s initial publication in 2019, MATRADE continued its release in 2022. EFM, a eMagazine with the theme “Advancing Beyond Boundaries” (Maju Merentas Sempadan), acts as a showcase for Malaysian companies that offer unique and innovative products and services. It specifically targets a community of over 20,000 international businesses. EFM is distributed through Electronic Direct Mail (EDM) to importers and MATRADE offices worldwide. Two issues of EFM were published, focusing on themes such as digitization & ICT and sustainability. For access to EFM, you can visit the following link: https://www. matrade.gov.my/en/choose-malaysia/directories/exclusive-frommalaysia.
