87 MATRADE Core Objectives MATRADE Annual Report 2022 actively organised numerous online activities such as webinars, trade information sessions, online B2B meetings, an online directory, eBizMatch, and Electronic Business Link (eBizLink). Through the virtual platform or eBizMatch activities, exhibitors at MEEC successfully engaged in over 300 sessions with key buyers from South America, Europe, and China. These virtual sessions featured Malaysian products and services that spanned a variety of industries, including food and beverages, medical and pharmaceutical products, green technology, and lifestyle products and services. As a result, MATRADE indirectly contributed to the steady growth of exports and ensured business sustainability, even amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, by relying on technology and digital platforms to overcome challenges. Exhibitors at MEEC were engaged in a wide range of coordinated activities organised by MATRADE headquarters, as well as its five branch offices and 46 overseas MATRADE offices. These activities included events, trade missions, business matching sessions, and promotional campaigns. Additionally, exhibitors also benefited from partnerships with government agencies and private strategic partners, both domestically and internationally.
