96 TOWARDS THE FUTURE OF SUSTAINABLE EXPORTS The Facility Management Unit (FMU) plays a crucial role in the operation, management, and maintenance of Menara MATRADE. The unit’s tasks encompass maintaining, updating, and improving Menara MATRADE’s mechanical, electrical and other facilities through its programmes to ensure optimal performance of critical functions. In 2022, the FMU carried out several improvement works/ projects at Menara MATRADE including: 1. Upgrade of the Lobby Lift Pressure Fill System and Smoke Management System on Basements 1&2. 2. Renovation of the Executive Floors (Levels 22/23). 3. Replacement of Electrical Cables from the Main Switchboard on the Ground Floor to the Electrical Riser on the 14th Floor East Wing. 4. Replacement and upgrade of the CCTV system of Menara MATRADE. 5. Installation of a Fixed Wet Chemical Gas Installation System and Fire Suppression System in the Electrical Room. 6. Upgrade and renovation of the Main Entrance of the East Wing of Menara MATRADE. 7. Upgrade of the Sports Arena. FACILITY MANAGEMENT UNIT 3.
