3 SERVICES EXPORT FUND (SEF) A financial assistance in the form of reimbursable grant and soft loan to Malaysian Services Providers (MSPs), Trade & Industry Associations, Chambers of Commerce and Professional Bodies to undertake activities to expand and venture into the international markets up to a total of RM5 million per company for the period of 2015-2020 (subject to the availability of the fund). a) Grants There are five (5) eligible activities under grants for SEF managed by MATRADE that MSPs could benefits and it is a 50% reimbursable grant of the eligible expenses incurred, whichever is lower. ACTIVITY MAXIMUM AMOUNT* 1. a) Travelling expenses for Promoting Malaysian expertise in services at international events overseas as a speaker in conferences, forums and participating in services industry related competitions. RM50,000 per company b) Travelling expenses for tender bidding. c) The cost of procuring commercial intelligence / market reports for assessing business opportunity or projects overseas. 2. a) Travelling expenses for presentation to potential client for assessing business and projects overseas. RM50,000 per company b) Travelling expenses for rendering sevices or projects undetaken overseas. c) The cost of preparation of prototype, system customisation / localisation to meet projects requirements overseas. 3. Initial Cost of Setting up of Office Overseas for 12 month. RM150,000 per company 4. Logistic cost of sending Malaysian products equipment merchandising for project abroad undertaken by Malaysian services companies. RM1 million per company 5. Conducting a feasibility study for specific international project overseas. RM3 million per company * 50% of the eligible expenses incurred, whichever is lower.
