16 THE 17TH CHINA ASEAN EXPO 2020 MAFI is the Ministry in charge of food commodities such as Crops, Livestock, Fisheries, Agro- based Industry and Culinary. There are three main objectives under National Agrofood Policy (NAP) from MAFI. Firstly is to ensure adequate food security and safety. Secondly is driving towards competitive and sustainable agrofood industry and third is to increase agropreneurs’ income. Meanwhile, the Agriculture Counsellor’s Office assists companies and entrepreneurs in penetrating market access, dealing with sanitary and phytosanitary (SPS), and technology transfer in agriculture. MAFI also accelerate investment in agriculture by providing technical assistance, business matching with relevant players and engagement with respective states and corridors.
