4 Beginner’s Guide To Exporting CHAPTER 2 2.1 DOMESTIC PROCEDURES The export of products and services are regulated by the relevant authorities. These regulations may change from time to time. It is therefore recommended for exporters to check with the relevant authorities. 2.1.1 Products • In the case of products, the first step would be to determine the Harmonised System (HS) code. CE marking for EU) The import requirements are regulated by the relevant authorities in the importing countries. These regulations may change from time to time.
