JABATAN STANDARD MALAYSIA (STANDARDS MALAYSIA) International Cooperation Programme / Success Stories When documenting Standards Malaysia’s achievements, there are also countless programmes and success stories that are worthy of mention. These include: 1. Forming the Malaysian Association of Accredited Laboratories (PMAM) to bring together accredited laboratories for continual capacity building and professional development activities. 2. Joint organiser of the Biennial Regional Symposium on Total Laboratory Management - Quality, Safety, Environment and Laboratory Informatics (QSEL) with Malaysian Institute of Chemistry (IKM). 3. Collaborating with Makmal Bioserasi on capacity building and professional development activities for OECD (Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development) Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) Compliance Programme. 4. Launching a new accreditation programme for Malaysian Sustainable Palm Oil (MSPO) certification. Projects Undertaken (International) With a mission to provide credible standardisation and accreditation services to facilitate foreign trade in the international arena Standards Malaysia has also been actively involved in the Halal Ecosystem Reverse Linkage Project. It was also involved in the Malaysia Technical Cooperation Programme (MTCP) on Halal Standards and Conformance to share knowledge, experiences and technical information with ASEAN and OIC Countries. Recognition and Awards Being a key player in the accreditation sector, Standards Malaysia has received recognition from the following: 1. Asia Pacific Accreditation Cooperation Incorporated (APAC). 2. International Accreditation Forum (IAF). 3. International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (ILAC).
