Message from
CEO MATRADE
The cosmetics and toiletries market has
proven to be very resilient in times of crisis or
recession. This sector holds much potential,
given the strengthening economy post-
recession and increased purchasing power of
consumers, particularly in Asia.
In the last decade, Malaysia has achieved
significant progress in the cosmetics and
toiletries industry. We have a vibrant domestic
industry which is continually evolving, with a
wide range of products on offer; many have
successfully created niche markets locally and
abroad. Cognisant of its export potential,
the government is committed to support
the sector to be a significant player in the
international market.
As the national trade promotion agency,
MATRADE strives to provide world class
business friendly support and develop
initiatives that will benefit industry players
and foreign buyers intending to source
for Malaysian products and services. In
collaboration with industry stakeholders, we
are pleased to release the Malaysia Exporters
of Cosmetics and Toiletries Directory.
We hope you will find this directory useful
reference in identifying Malaysia’s key
stakeholders, players and other industry
contributors. We look forward to fostering
more choice partnerships and creating
greater visibility for Malaysian brands
internationally. The best is yet to come.
