2. I would like to participate at MEEC. How do I apply?

Log in to www.matrade.gov.my/meec. Then the MEEC page will come out and on the right hand menu select “Application Form” under ‘New Recruitment 2013’. Complete the details in the form. For MATRADE members, please key in your company’s name/ROC/MATRADE member registration number and your details will be automatically retrieved. After completion, please click the ‘Submit’ button.

3. If I have difficulty in applying through online, can I apply manually?

Only online application is accepted. Kindly use ‘Internet Explorer’ browser for online application.

5. Is there any fees to participate? How do I pay the fees?

The participation fees for the 2013 session is RM1,200.00 for product display and RM600.00 for services display. Applications will only be processed upon receipt of participation fee either through Maybank2u or cheque payable to ‘MATRADE’

6. How long is the display duration and when does the session start?

The display period is for 12 months from 1st January to 31st December 2013.

7. Is there a deadline for submission of application?

The dateline is 15 November 2012. Application must be completed with payment before the said date. Payment can be made either through Maybank2u or cheque payable to ‘MATRADE’.

8. How will I know if my submission has been received?

Acknowledgment email will be sent once application is received.

9. How will I know if my application is successful?

Submission of application does not mean automatic approval of participation in MEEC. The selection committee will review all applications and successful applicants will be notified by 1 December 2012.

10. What are the criteria to be an exhibitor at MEEC?

The basic criteria for MEEC selection are as follows :

• Company must be  registered as a MATRADE member.
• Products or services must be Malaysian made or has Malaysian ownership in the brand or patent
• Company’s products or services are ready or already exported.
• Priority will be given to Small and Medium Industries

11. Is the fees for MEEC participation claimable under Market Development Grant (MDG)?

All SMEs companies are entitle for RM600 reimbursement under MDG. The company have to submit the proof of activities (confirmation letter form MEEC) and payment receipt latest by 28 February 2014 to MDG Unit. For more information kindly visit MDG webpage here.

12.My company is not a MATRADE member. Can my company participate?

Companies exhibiting at MEEC must be registered members of MATRADE. Companies that have not registered are advised to do so via online registration. Registration is free of charge. For your information, registration as a MATRADE member is free of charge. Click here for registration. 13. If I apply early, can I choose the showcase and location at MEEC?

Products/services will be allocated the showcase according to the designated industry cluster. As such, applicants are not allowed to choose the showcase and location.

14. Can I make adjustment at the display area to fit my products?

All booths are fitted with adjustable shelves. You may adjust or remove the shelves to suit your display. To see booth design click here.

16. I am a current exhibitor, what should I do if I want to continue my exhibition for the next session?

Current exhibitor has to re-apply, by submitting the online application as well as make the payment within the stipulated dateline.

17. If my company is selected as an MEEC exhibitor, when can I display my product samples/services poster at MEEC?

You can display your product samples/services poster during the period 2-15 January 2013.

18. How often should I change my display and replenish the namecards and brochures?

You are encouraged to change the display samples whenever a new product or model is launched by your company. However, if there is no new product/model, you are advised to change the display samples as well as replenish the namecards and brochures quarterly.

19. How often are exhibitors at MEEC invited for business meetings with buyers?

MEEC regularly receives many enquiries and walk in visitors. You will be invited for business meeting if the products/services requested by the potential buyer is relevant to your business activity. Some of the meeting invitations maybe informed within a short notice. You are advised to give full cooperation to the invitation.

20. Should I inform MEEC if there are any changes on company’s details such as contact person, address, etc?
