The CBI is currently developing a step-by-step implementation plan,
designed to guide manufacturers through the entire process of CE-
marking. Version of this implementation plan will be developed for
each specific directive on CE-marking (see table below). For example,
a manufacturer of toys will be able to find specific guidance on
the process of CE-marking toys, while a manufacturer of personal
protective equipment can read how to take the 7 steps for CE-marking
his safety shoes. In addition to this implementation plan, the CBI is
also investigating specific bottlenecks by means of a number of ‘real
life’ case studies, among other things. Both the case studies and
the implementation plan will be accessible through the CBI’s online
