MESSAGE FROM

Chief Executive Officer

Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation

(MDEC)

The potential for improvements through the innovative use of technology is significant.

Implementation will require a transformational programme of change, not just

technological but also administrative and cultural. Successfully implemented, such a

programme promises enhanced quality of service as well as social and economic benefits.

More and more companies are adopting this strategic approach and, over the years,

Malaysia has proven to have the capabilities to cater for global ICT market demands.

The Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC) is actively driving the adoption of

innovative technologies across all industries. We are now in the age of disruptive

technologies, where anything is possible, and complete paradigm shifts can happen

overnight. As such, companies need to be prepared and adaptable in their respective

markets. Digital transformation is paramount towards the future of companies in all sectors,

as global markets digitise and grow significantly larger each year. As markets evolve, so too

shall these companies in their quest for global competitiveness.

The development of the ICT industry largely and directly depends on the export of ICT

products and services. The publication of the 2nd edition of the Malaysia Exporters of ICT

(Products and Related Services) Directory is a key tool to efficiently promote our ICT exports

as it gives detailed information on our ICT industry and its solution providers. I trust that the

directory will be a good platform to promote the expertise and know-how of the Malaysian

ICT industry and market the product and services of our ICT companies on the international

scene, significantly contributing to boosting the export of ICT products and services from

Malaysia.

e live in a disruptive world today wherein change

is the only constant.

Shifts in technology coupled with changes in people's

expectations of Information and Communications

Technology (ICT)-based services today require new

approaches across all markets. Global economic

conjuncture and the financial crisis situation compels us to

dedicate even more efforts towards consolidating our ICT

sector.
