KUALA LUMPUR, 27 AUGUST 2026 (THURSDAY) – Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Pahang are encouraged to seize the opportunity to explore international markets by participating in the Pahang Export Day Programme 2026, which will take place on 7 September 2026 at Hotel Grand Darul Makmur, Kuantan.

Organised by the Pahang State Government through the Pahang State Economic Planning Division (BPEN) in collaboration with the Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE), the programme targets the participation of 200 local entrepreneurs, particularly MSMEs seeking practical insights, basic export guidance, as well as information on the various support facilities available within the national export ecosystem.

Aligned with the country's robust trade performance which exceeded RM3.06 trillion, MATRADE is committed to driving Pahang's export momentum, which reached RM38.46 billion in 2025, back to greater heights. The program offers an ideal avenue to expand the presence of Pahang companies globally, thereby elevating the state's profile on the international trade stage.

To strengthen this network, Pahang boasts a solid foundation with 146 companies registered under MATRADE's Malaysian Exporters Registry (MER) as of July 2026. This figure highlights vast untapped market opportunities, presenting an excellent opening for more local entrepreneurs to register, leverage export advisory services, and collectively increase the participation rate of Pahang companies in the global arena.

Pahang Export Day 2026 aims to support the State Government in cultivating a higher number of competitive export-oriented entrepreneurs, in line with the state's economic and entrepreneurial aspirations. Through this program, local MSMEs will be equipped with key knowledge, awareness, and deep insights into the vast opportunities available in international markets. Furthermore, it serves as a critical platform to offer comprehensive exposure to various support services provided by both government and private institutions, enabling Pahang companies to scale their products and services worldwide. MATRADE remains confident that Pahang houses numerous high-potential companies capable of competing globally through sustained support within the national trade ecosystem.

Export Day 2026 is planned to be held in two key states, namely Pahang and Perak on 14 October 2026.
