KUALA LUMPUR, 17 MARCH 2026 – The Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE) continues to strengthen Malaysia’s position as a global leader in the Halal economy with the upcoming Malaysia International Halal Showcase (MIHAS) 2026, scheduled to take place from 23 to 26 September 2026 at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC).

 

In line with efforts to further enhance the world’s largest Halal trade showcase, MATRADE has appointed ES Exhibition Sdn Bhd as the new event management company for MIHAS for a five-year term from 2026 to 2030, following the completion of the previous organiser’s contract.

 

Now in its 22nd edition, MIHAS has evolved into a globally recognised platform that connects Halal industry players, exporters and international buyers from across the world. The appointment of ES Exhibition Sdn Bhd is expected to bring fresh perspectives and enhanced capabilities to further strengthen MIHAS’ global standing while reinforcing Malaysia’s role as a leading hub for Halal trade.

 

MIHAS 2026 will feature a wide spectrum of 14 industry segments across the Halal value chain, including Food & Beverage, Consumer Goods, Pharmaceutical and Healthcare, Modest Fashion, Islamic Finance, Halal Services and other emerging Halal sectors.

 

As Malaysia’s premier halal trade exhibition, MIHAS continues to provide local companies with unparalleled opportunities to expand internationally. This year, MIHAS will be presenting new component within the event such as the debut of Women in Export (WiEX) cluster at MIHAS 2026, reflecting MATRADE’s dedication to empowering women in Halal business and ensuring their active participation in the global marketplace. Other ready elements within MIHAS are its exhibition component, International Sourcing Programme (INSP), Hosted Buyer Programme, MIHAS Awards and Knowledge Hub that will all be further strengthened, adding value to the experience of exhibitors and visitors.
