Apart from reaching out to exporters through its
online services, MATRADE’s presence is also felt by
the business community at large through activities
undertaken by its five Regional Offices and through
its Briefings and Consultation sessions that were
held throughout the country. Representatives from
MITI and other related government agencies as well
as trade organisations were also invited to join in the
panel. Through these sessions, MATRADE was able
to disseminate information on its services, facilities,
assistance programmes and export promotion activities.
The exercise also acted as a channel for the business
community and industry players to provide feedback
to the Ministry and MATRADE on export related issues
and discussed ways on how to make Malaysia a leading
world exporter.
In 2013, Business & Consultation sessions were
conducted in Kuala Lumpur, Perak, Kedah, Kelantan,
Terengganu, Sarawak, Sabah, Pahang, and Johor.
The number of participants who benefitted from these
sessions was 2,659.
