Synonymous with promoting exports of the nation’s services sector is
the Malaysia Services Exhibition (MSE). Initiated in 2008 and held for four
successive years in UAE, the launching pad to the fast developing nations of
the GCC and MENA region, MSE had created an awareness on Malaysia’s
capabilities and expertise in various services sectors. The exhibition had
secured numerous projects and joint ventures for Malaysian service providers
in UAE and its surrounding region.
MSE had since expanded its shores and in 2013, MSE was held in twelve
countries, namely Qatar, Algeria, Kazakhstan, Cambodia, Myanmar,
Tatarstan, PRC, Iraq, Chile, Brazil, Indonesia and New Zealand. The outcome
of these MSEs, which promoted various services clusters as well as related
products was significant. Participants of MSEs held in 2013 reported
business potential of RM1.68 billion generated for projects identified and
related products promoted.
